Ter Stegen sends a touching message to Barcelona fans

After Barcelona’s defeat to Paris Saint-Germain: Expression of regret and gratitude by the German goalkeeper and response to questions

After Barcelona’s unfortunate exit from the quarter-finals of the Champions League, German goalkeeper Andre Ter Stegen, who carries a red and blue heart, wanted to send a message filled with nostalgia and gratitude to the Barça fans who have always stood by the team in difficult times.

The end of Barcelona’s journey in the European Championship was very bitter, as it ended with a resounding loss of 1-4 to Paris Saint-Germain in the decisive match that took place last Tuesday. This defeat came after Barça’s victory in the first leg by two goals to one, which made the disappointment deeper.

Ter Stegen shared a moment from that decisive match, where he posted a picture of himself on the “Instagram” platform, accompanied by touching words expressing his deep sadness and gratitude to the fans. He said: “I feel deep regret for our failure to qualify for the Champions League, especially after we had a great opportunity to advance to the golden square. I want to thank the Barça fans for their great and constant support during this journey.”

Despite this bitter defeat, Ter Stegen refused to label the team’s exit as a failure. On the contrary, he pointed out that the expulsion of his teammate Ronald Araujo in the first half of the match had a major impact on the course of events and the result of the match.
