Rainford Kalaba: A Football Journey and the “Misleading Statement”

The management of Congolese club TP Mazembe has retracted their previous statement regarding the passing of their former player, the renowned Zambian midfielder Rainford Kalaba.

In a new statement released via their official Facebook page last Saturday, the management clarified that Kalaba has not yet passed away following the traffic accident that occurred in Zambia on the previous Saturday, between the areas of Kabwe and Lusaka.

According to the new statement, direct confirmation was received from the medical team treating Kalaba. Official announcements of his demise were not made by the emergency authorities who responded to the accident.
