United shatters Liverpool’s hopes of winning the English FA Cup

An exciting match ends with Manchester United winning in the last minutes with a score of (4-3)

Manchester is among the teams that have qualified for the semi-finals of the English FA Cup competition after achieving a victory over its guest Liverpool with a score of 4-3 in an exciting match that extended to two extra halves, within the framework of the last quarter-final matches.

In the first extra half, Harvey Elliott was able to put Liverpool back in the lead by scoring a goal in the 105th minute, but Manchester United turned the tables on Liverpool in the second extra half by scoring two consecutive goals through Marcus Rashford in the 112th minute and Amad Traore in the 120+1 minute.

With this victory, Manchester United ended Liverpool’s dream of competing for the title of the English FA Cup this season, which was aspiring to win it alongside competing for the Premier League and European League titles.

In the context of the meeting, the first minutes witnessed an exchange of opportunities between the two teams, as each of them tried to score, but the good saves from the goalkeepers and the focus of the defense prevented that.

In the tenth minute, Marcus Rashford succeeded in threatening Liverpool’s goal with a low shot, but goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher brilliantly saved it, keeping it away from the net.

The opportunities continued on both teams, as Manchester United players and Liverpool players tried to score from several opportunities, but accuracy and focus were lacking in the crucial moments.

In the 37th minute, Alexis Mac Allister shot a strong ball that settled the net to equalize the result in favor of Liverpool, before Mohamed Salah added the second goal with a powerful shot in the 45+2 minute.

Despite the attempts of the two teams in the second half, the result did not change until the last minutes of the match, where Anthony scored the equalizing goal for Manchester United in the 87th minute with a creeping shot.

With this victory, Manchester United ensured qualification to the semi-finals of the English FA Cup, and will be on a date with a strong confrontation to compete for the title.
