Ronaldo Sparks Controversy

Controversial actions mark the match between Al-Nassr and Al-Shabab in the Saudi Roshan League

In the context of the match that brought together Al-Nassr team, led by the Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo, with Al-Shabab team in the twenty-first round of the Saudi Roshan Professional League last Sunday, Ronaldo committed an unethical act during the match.

Al-Nassr managed to leave Al-Shabab stadium with a hard-fought 3-2 victory, raising its score to 52 points, occupying the second place in the standings, while Al-Shabab’s score froze at 24 points, falling to the eleventh place.

In the 86th minute of the match, after Talisca scored the third goal for Al-Nassr, Ronaldo made an unethical move towards Al-Shabab fans. After the end of the match, he went to the stands of Al-Shabab fans and performed another inappropriate action, amid the fans’ booing.

It is worth noting that this event is the second of its kind in the past few days for the Portuguese star, as he engaged in inappropriate behavior during his team’s match against Al-Hilal in the Riyadh Season Cup, in response to the fans of the leader who pelted him with the blue club scarves when he left the stadium.

It is noteworthy that Ronaldo had previously shown a similar inappropriate behavior in his team Juventus’ match against Atletico Madrid in the UEFA Champions League in March 2019, in response to the Spanish team coach Diego Simeone after scoring a hat-trick against the Rojiblancos.
