Iraq National Team's Final Preparations Before Facing Jordan

The Iraqi national team is gearing up and fully prepared for the highly anticipated match against their Jordanian counterparts on Monday, as part of the Round of 16 in the Asian Cup tournament, currently held in Qatar.

On Sunday evening, the Iraqi team headed to the Al-Gharafa Stadium for their final training session, with all players participating except for the substitute goalkeeper Fahad Talib, who sustained an injury during the previous practice, confirming his official absence from the upcoming match.

Under the guidance of the Spanish head coach Jesús Cásas, the training sessions focused on executing tactical maneuvers, emphasizing both defensive and offensive duties. The final moments of the training session were dedicated to practicing penalty kicks, ensuring the players' readiness for any possible scenario in the upcoming match.

The players of the Lions of Mesopotamia are looking forward to maintaining their momentum after topping Group D with 9 points. It's worth noting that the highly anticipated match will take place at the Khalifa International Stadium, which is hosting Iraqi national team matches for the first time in this tournament. This will be the second match for the Jordanian national team, following their game against Bahrain in the group stage.
