The Story of Robinson’s Transfer to FC Cincinnati

From Atlanta United to winning the 2023 Supporters’ Shield - The future of Michael Robinson in the 2024 season

In an announcement issued by the club on Wednesday, the American full-back in the men’s national football team, who spent seven years with “The Five Stripes” team, officially joined the 2023 Shield champions in preparation for the upcoming season in the 2024 Professional American Football League.

Miles Robinson, who joined Atlanta United in 2017, became free at the end of the 2023 American League season. Despite the club’s efforts to retain him by offering a new deal, Robinson and his representatives did not reach an agreement with Atlanta United.

In his statement on the club’s official website after joining the new team, Robinson expressed his enthusiasm, saying: “I am very excited to join FC Cincinnati. The club is a great organization overall, and I will do everything in my power to win more championships for the passionate fans and the distinguished people in this city. I am excited to play my first match in the stadium.”

Robinson, who plays as a center-back, started his career with the US men’s national team in September 2019 against Mexico. Since then, he has participated in 27 international matches, scoring three goals.

FC Cincinnati, also known as the Orange and Blue, aims to recover from the disappointment of the previous season, where they were eliminated in the league semi-finals with a 3-2 loss to Columbus Crew. With the start of the new league season on February 25, they will face Toronto.
