Real Madrid's Transfer Stand: No New Striker in January

Carlo Ancelotti Affirms Confidence in Summer Squad Planning as Los Blancos Lead La Liga and Champions League Group

Currently leading La Liga and sitting atop their Champions League group, Real Madrid will not be seeking a new striker during the upcoming January transfer window, according to their manager Carlo Ancelotti. Speaking to the press, Ancelotti dismissed the possibility of a January signing, stating that the club had already planned the squad during the summer, and everything is in good shape.

In the summer,

Real Madrid

made strategic signings, including the notable addition of Jude Bellingham from Borussia Dortmund. They also secured Joselu on loan from Espanyol to fill the void left by Karim Benzema, who departed when his contract expired, joining Saudi Pro League's Al-Ittihad.

Under Ancelotti's guidance, Real Madrid has adopted a new 4-4-2 diamond formation this season, with Rodrygo and Vinicius Junior leading the attack, supported by Bellingham in the playmaker role. This tactical shift has proven successful, with the team scoring 44 goals across all competitions. Bellingham, with 15 goals, is the current top scorer, followed by Rodrygo with eight.

While Ancelotti currently expresses confidence in the existing squad, the injury to Vinicius Jr, ruled out for 10 weeks due to a hamstring injury suffered while on international duty, could potentially prompt reconsideration when the transfer window reopens. Real Madrid, having faith in their current roster, prepares to face Granada in a league encounter on Saturday.
