Statements by José Luis Sierra Regarding Zamalek Negotiations

The former head coach of Al-Ittihad Jeddah reveals his prospects with Egyptian club Zamalek and comments on the possibility of coaching his national team.

Chilean former coach of Al-Ittihad Jeddah, José Luis Sierra, commented for the first time on the negotiations conducted by the Egyptian club Zamalek for his potential appointment.

In his statements to the Chilean media, Sierra said, "I have a potential opportunity to join Zamalek, but I must confirm that I will not leave. It is a huge team in the African continent and has won the CAF Champions League title several times."

Regarding his recent decisions, he added, "I have not decided yet whether I will take any step until next January, and I will not make any decisions regarding this matter."

As for his nomination to coach the Chilean national team, Sierra stated, "For me, seeing my name associated with the national team, whether it is real or not, is a source of pride for me. If you look at the latest coaches, you will find that they are all foreigners, so I consider my name being mentioned as a great honor."

He concluded his statement by saying, "I will not close the doors to any possibility, whether in coaching the Chilean national team or anywhere else, starting from January next year. Everything will depend on the place, circumstances, and the trust that will be present to bet on my experience and work."
