Al-Hilal Advances to the Round of 16 in the AFC Champions League with a Victory over Navbahor

Malcolm and Al-Dawsari Score Goals for the Hilal, Leading the Team to the Top of Their Group

As part of the AFC Champions League, Al-Hilal secured a spot in the Round of 16 after achieving victory in their match on Tuesday against the Uzbek side, Navbahor, with a score of 2-0.

Player Malcolm scored both goals for Al-Hilal in the 68th minute, while Salem Al-Dawsari netted the second goal in the 85th minute.

The Saudi team dominated the top spot in Group Four with 13 points, surpassing Navbahor by a three-point margin. Navbahor's points remained at 10.

In the details of the match, Salem Al-Dawsari missed two penalty kicks, failing to convert the first one and successfully delivering the second, saved by the goalkeeper.

The Portuguese coach, Jorge Jesus, relied on key players such as Mitrovic, Nawaf Al-Shahrani, Malcolm, and Michel as substitutes at the beginning of the game.

Al-Hilal completely controlled the first half, with modest attempts from the home team to create chances against goalkeeper Yassin Bono.

In the ninth minute, Al-Hilal had an early opportunity to score from a penalty kick awarded after a video review, but Salem Al-Dawsari missed the chance by shooting the ball outside the goal.

Navbahor players continued their attacks after the missed penalty, and Ismailov's moves on the right side threatened the Al-Hilal defense, although without a real threat on Bono's goal.

Despite Al-Hilal's attempts on Navbahor's goal in the first half, the score remained a goalless draw at halftime.

Al-Hilal returned with a strong offensive spirit in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Salem Al-Dawsari passed the ball inside Navbahor's penalty area, but stumbled, and the shot turned into a corner after deflecting off a Navbahor defender.

Afterward, in a ball exchange inside the host team's penalty area, the ball reached Saleh Al-Shehri, who was unmarked but shot from a difficult angle, and the ball went into the side netting.

Al-Hilal continued to apply pressure. Mohammed Al-Breik delivered a perfect cross to Mohammed Al-Qahtani, who headed the ball, but the goalkeeper Yusupov made two saves.

In another Hilal attack, Abdullah Al-Hamdan shot the ball, but Navbahor's defender Ivanovic intervened with his hand on its way to the goal. After a video review, the referee awarded a penalty.

Salem Al-Dawsari missed the second penalty kick, but Malcolm, the substitute, seized the opportunity and quickly returned the ball into the net after his entrance, opening the scoring in the 68th minute.

In the 85th minute, Salem Al-Dawsari redeemed his missed penalty kicks by scoring the second goal with a beautiful touch, chipping the ball over the goalkeeper.
