Alexander-Arnold Achieves Perfect Balance in Liverpool's Lineup

Since April, Jurgen Klopp has led essential operations to change Liverpool's tactical positions.

Since April, Jurgen Klopp made a decision to alter Liverpool's team strategy based on the advantages of English players. We have seen this 25-year-old player move into midfield when the Reds possess the ball, only to return to his defensive role afterward. This player contributed to securing a 1-1 draw at Old Trafford last Saturday against Manchester City, targeting the bottom corner from outside the penalty area.

In a statement to The Athletic, Van Dijk said, "Versatility is the key here. We started implementing that since April, and I think we're making good progress. We're in a continuous learning phase, and this player continues to evolve and adapt in some cases. Manchester City is a very advanced team because of their well-thought-out plan, and we are continuously evolving in this direction. It's a new journey, but we're working hard to improve our performance, and we can benefit greatly from this change."

Although Alexander-Arnold has played more traditionally as a midfielder in England's recent international matches, Van Dijk confirmed that they currently have no intention of replicating that at the club level.

We will see these players next in the UEFA Champions League when Liverpool faces LASK on November 30th.
