Kounde announces his continuation with Barca

defender broke his silence after increasing rumors about his departure from the Camp Nou castle at the end of the current season.

Kounde joined Barcelona in the summer of 2022 coming from

, and has a contract with the Catalan team until 2027.

Kounde is fed up with the idea of playing as a full-back and wants to leave the ranks of Barca if he does not play in his position as a center-back, according to many press reports.

The Spanish newspaper "Sport" said: "If Kounde wants to enter into a conflict with the club, he is wrong."

And some press reports stated that Conde told his coach Xavi Hernandez, of his desire to leave because of his lack of feeling comfortable within the group.

Jules Kounde feels dissatisfied because Xavi promised him to be the main center of defense for the team this season, but he participates in the right-back position.

Kounde wrote on his official account on the social networking site Twitter, "In order to clarify matters, I did not ask to leave at any time, and therefore I will not go anywhere."
