Man United to complete Sabitzer transfer as the player says “yes”

After failing to establish himself as a starter for Julian Nagelsmann, the Switzerland international is set to join Manchester United in a bid to revive his career.

. Despite making 24 appearances for the Bavarians across all competitions, the Swiss midfielder failed to establish himself as a starter for Julian Nagelsmann.

, the 28-year-old midfielder has made it clear to his agents that he is interested in Erik ten Hag's project at

Manchester United

. Chelsea was also interested in signing Sabitzer but they are reportedly withdrawn from the race to pursue other deals, with their primary target said to be Benfica's midfielder, Enzo Fernandez.

The 27-year-old spent time at RB Salzburg and Rapid Vienna as a number ten and winger before distinguishing himself as Leipzig's most reliable central midfielder. He has scored 52 goals and provided 42 assists in his 229 appearances for Die Rotten Bullen while helping them reach the Champions League semi-finals in 2019-20.
