Cristiano Ronaldo vows to open a new chapter in his career

After making a lot of controversies claiming being betrayed by Man United, the Red Devils decided to terminate Cristiano Ronaldo's contract following his interview. The Portuguese superstar claims it's time for him to take the next step in his career.

In an interview with TalkTV,

Cristiano Ronaldo

made some shocking claims, accusing the senior figures at Manchester United of trying to oust him from the club, also saying that he has “no respect” for manager Erik ten Hag.

The Red Devils opted to terminate his contract after his interview. Scoring 118 goals through 292 appearances, the Portuguese counts as a living legend for

Man United

leading them to three Premier League titles and a Champions League title.

Ronaldo released

a statement

following being released from the club, saying:

"Following conversations with Manchester United we have mutually agreed to end our contract early.

"I love Manchester United and I love the fans, that will never ever change. However, it feels like the right time for me to seek a new challenge.

"I wish the team every success for the remainder of the season and for the future."
