Karim Benzema wins Best Player at Globe Soccer Awards
Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema beat Manchester City forward Erling Haaland and Liverpool star Mohamed Salah to the award.
was announced as the Best Player at the 2022 Globe Soccer Awards in Dubai on Thursday.
The French star led
Real Madridto the
Champions League, LaLiga, European Super Cup, and Spanish Super Cup last season.
Benzema, who recently won the Ballon d' Or, was also the top goalscorer of the Champions League, LaLiga, and the Spanish Super Cup last season.
Real Madrid was named Best Club of the Year and their manager Carlo Ancelotti took out the Best Coach. Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Wayne Rooney, and Romario also received the Player Career Award at the ceremony.
