Messi on his Silicon Valley investments before World Cup 2022

The Argentina international is planning to invest in technology as he wants to be partners with Silicon Valley executives to begin a new start-up venture.

Lionel Messi

is planning for when his iconic playing career reaches its end as his Messi Group company has partnered with Razmig Hovaghimian and Michael Marquez, the industry experts. They formed a Play Time partnership that will be the 35-year-old’s investment in sports, media and technology.

Play Time revealed that they have a still-stealth-mode games studio named Matchday.com and they want to release it before the World Cup 2022 final in Qatar. Messi also talked about how he wants to expand his business interests away from his football career:

“I am excited to extend our roots into Silicon Valley, and I am thrilled that Play Time will collaborate with daring entrepreneurs from all over the world. I hope that through its success Play Time will help many people and have a positive impact on the world. I trust in the team and our partners to achieve our objectives.”

In addition, Play Time will invest in AC Momento, which is a marketplace for auctioning match-worn shirts from players and clubs.

The Argentina international is dedicated to his commitment to Paris Saint-Germain as they want to grab the Ligue 1 title as well as the Champions League trophy, while Argentina are preparing for the World Cup in Qatar.
