Antony hails Man Utd teammate Cristiano Ronaldo's 'extraordinary mind'

Antony revealed he has already learnt a lot from Cristiano Ronaldo since joining Manchester United from Ajax.

Antony

said

Cristiano Ronaldo

has "an extraordinary mind," and he said that since joining

Manchester United

, he has looked to the five-time Ballon d'Or winner for advice.

The former Ajax winger got off to a great start with United when he scored the first goal in a 3-1 win at Old Trafford over Premier League leaders Arsenal. Antony joined United for an initial £81.3 million (€95 million) just three days after he became the 100th Brazilian to play in the Premier League. He was also the youngest Brazilian to score on his debut in the league (aged 22 years and 192 days).

Antony joined

Marcus Rashford

and Jadon Sancho in United's three-pronged attack against the Gunners. Former Real Madrid and Juventus star Ronaldo started on the bench for the fifth time this season.

Ronaldo has only started one of United's six Premier League games this season. Rashford (523 minutes), Jadon Sancho (423 minutes), and Anthony Elanga (215 minutes) all have more Premier League minutes than the 37-year-old Ronaldo.

Antony started with Ronaldo when United lost to Real Sociedad in the Europa League on Thursday. The Brazilian is sure that Ronaldo is still a good striker, though. Antony said on United's website, "There are no words to describe Cristiano. He is the best in the world."

"I've learned a lot from him in just a few days. He has an amazing mind, and I learn a lot every time I talk to him. I'm sure our attack is strong and looks good for the future. I'm here to help out my team. No matter how old the players are, they all have a lot of talent."

Last season, when

Erik ten Hag

led Ajax to the last 16 of the Champions League, Antony tried 29 dribbles, more than any other Eredivisie player. The 22-year-old showed some of his uniquely Brazilian styles in his first game, and he has promised the Red Devils fans that he will always try to entertain them.

"This is what I've always done," he said. "Not just here, but everywhere I've played. Since I was a child, I've always done it. It's one of the traits that I've always done it. I am already getting used to the way things work here. I've always liked making people happy, and I'll keep doing it."
