Robert Lewandowskiin the Champions League group stage this season. Bayern Munich and Barcelona will play each other again this season, and Lewandowski will be back at the
Allianz Arena
soon after leaving Die Roten.
The Polish striker made it clear early this summer that he wanted to leave Bayern for Barca. In the end, he signed a €50 million deal to go to
Camp Nou
, which shocked the Bavarian bosses because Barcelona was having financial problems.
Muller took to social media to share how excited he was about the reunion. He used his old "Lewan-goal-ski" joke as a way to say this.
"What a great prize for football fans!" Muller started by grinning. Mr. Lewan-goal-ski, I'll see you soon in Munich. Let's go, let's rock the Champions League season." Inter and Viktoria Plzen will be in Group C with
Bayern Munichand Barcelona. Even without Lewandowski, Bayern has had a good start to the new season. Sadio Mane has led the team to four impressive wins in the last few weeks."
Barcelona's first game of the season was a disappointing 0-0 draw at home against Rayo Vallecano. However, they got their first win last week when they beat Real Sociedad 4-1. Lewandowski scored two goals for the Blaugrana, his first official goals since moving to La Liga.
