Adrien Rabiot's Manchester United move collapse due to wage demands

Manchester United has decided to end the negotiations with Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot.

According to the English press,

Adrien Rabiot’

s transfer to

Manchester United

is now highly unlikely and the club now is pursuing other options.

United reached an agreement with Juventus over a £15m fee for Rabiot but they and the player’s camp are too far apart in their wage valuation.

The 27-year-old Rabiot wanted more than €7m per year but United is not willing to increase their offer and the move is not happening as things stand.

The Athletic report that Barcelona's Frankie De Jong's transfer to United is improbable and they are exploring other options like Real Madrid midfielder

Casemiro

as well as Brighton's Moises Caicedo. Reports suggest that United still is confident of securing the services of an elite midfielder this summer.

Eric Ten Hag’s side started their season with a 1-2 home defeat against Brighton and then they lost 4-0 away to Brentford. This is Manchester United worst start to a league campaign for 101 years, and they sit bottom of the Premier League for the first time since 1992.

United will face Liverpool on Monday night at Old Trafford.
