Alexis Sanchez officially signs with Marseille
Marseille have penned a contract with Alexis Sanchez, who became a free agent when his deal with the Nerazzurri was terminated.
It was a busy week for the former Inter player as he left the Nerazzurri on Monday after his contract was terminated, before Marseille confirmed that they reached an agreement on Tuesday.
Marseille supporters had to wait a little more for the club to formally announce his arrival.
The ex-Barcelona, Arsenal, and Manchester United man went to France to get fit again, as he only started seven games in Serie A last season, meeting the target five times.
However, he scored seven goals for
Interacross all competitions in the previous season and contributed to the Serie A title win.
Marseille's statement on Wednesday described Sanchez as "a world-class player with a great experience of the very highest level".
