Timo Werner is set to leave Chelsea and return to Bundesliga outfit RB Leipzig in a permanent deal.

and sign a permanent deal with Bundesliga team

RB Leipzig

.

During his time with Die Roten Bullen, the German striker was one of the best in Europe. He scored 78 league goals in 127 games. In his last season, he scored 34 goals in all competitions. This was enough to convince Chelsea that he was a good player, so they paid £47.5m to get him.

Werner has not been as successful at

Stamford Bridge

, where he has played 89 times and scored 23 goals. Even though the 26-year-old hasn't scored in a while, he has won the Champions League, Super Cup, and Club World Cup with Chelsea.

Raheem Sterling

came from Manchester City and was put right into Thomas Tuchel's starting lineup for Saturday's win at Everton. Werner, on the other hand, didn't even make the bench. His return will help a Leipzig team that made it back to the Champions League last season. This summer, Leipzig spent a lot of money on Janis Blaswich, Xaver Schlager, and David Raum.

Marcos Alonso is set to leave Chelsea before the window closes. He wasn't with the team that went to Goodison Park, so he is likely to leave. His move to Barcelona is almost done, and the Catalan team is sure that they will be able to sign the Spain international.
