Arsenal striker makes a loan move to Reims

Folarin Balogun is going to play the next season away from the Gunners at Reims, according to the club.

Folarin Balogun

has made a loan move to the Ligue 1 side from

Arsenal

for the next season. The Gunners striker had his first team debut for Arsenal in the 2020-21 season, and also signed a long-term deal.

The 21-year-old played only twice in the

Premier League

last season, before going on a loan spell to Middlesbrough for the second half of the campaign.

He met the back of the net three times there and contributed three assists in 18 games, with nine starts.

Reims

ended their Ligue 1 season sitting 12th on the table, which was 12 points above the relegation zone, with their new season beginning on Sunday against Marseille.

Balogun is their fifth signing of summer after penning with Junya Ito, Andreaw Gravillon, Emmanuel Agbadou, Patrick Pentz and Maxime Busi.
