Joan Laporta: Jules Kounde on the verge of joining Chelsea
Joan Laporta confirms Jules Kounde is joining Chelsea.

Barcelona, has said that
Jules Koundeis going to
Chelsea. Laporta was caught on tape telling a fan that Kounde was going to sign with their rivals in west London, but it's not clear if he was serious.
Some Catalan media sources think that the Barca president was joking and that his comments do not mean that
La Blaugrana
are out of the race.
Chelsea hopes that the Kounde deal will move quickly before the weekend and that he will be able to join them before their last preseason game against Udinese next Friday.
This week, 90min said that Chelsea and Sevilla had reached a deal for the player. But after signing Robert Lewandowski earlier this week, Barcelona's head coach Xavi told the team to go after Kounde. Barça and
Sevilla
haven't reached a deal yet, but the player hasn't closed his move to Stamford Bridge yet because he wants to keep his options open.
Kounde chose to go on Sevilla's preseason tour of Portugal instead of staying home, which he could have done after a minor pelvic surgery last month.
