Xavi has asked six players to leave Barcelona

Barcelona manager Xavi has told six players they are free to leave the club this summer.

According to reports from Diario Sport, six

Barcelona

first-team players have already been informed by Xavi that they have no place in his plans for next season and are free to leave the club.

Barcelona wants to reduce the club’s inflated wage by offloading some players who are not in Xavi’s plans. Barcelona's pre-season training will start on Monday and they travel to the United States in mid-July.

Diario Sport claims that Riqui Puig, Neto, Oscar Mingueza,

Samuel Umtiti

, Moussa Wague, and

Clement Lenglet

have no place in Barcelona for next season and must find a new club.

French center-back Clement Lenglet is in negotiation with Tottenham and is close to joining the English club on a loan deal. Italian and French teams are interested in signing Mingueza and Umtiti but at the moment other than Clement no one is close to leaving Barcelona.

Barcelona president Joan Laporta confirmed on Saturday that Franck Kessie and Andreas Christensen would officially join Barcelona this week on free transfers.

Laporta also said that Leeds United star Raphinha wants to join Barcelona and they are in negotiations with Leeds over the Raphinha transfer for 60 million euros.
