Nottingham Forest signed Man Utd goalie on loan

Nottingham Forest have also finalized their second summer signing after Taiwo Awoniyi.

Premier League newcomers

Nottingham Forest

have signed

Manchester United

goalkeeper

Dean Henderson

on a season-long loan.

After De Gea's poor performances in recent seasons, 25-year-old Henderson was aiming to be first choice in Red Devils' goal. However, De Gea was able to get close to his good days in the last season and Henderson was not given so many chances. He recorded 17 clean sheets in 49 games in the Premier League from May 2021, but considering that the World Cup is ahead, he left for another team to get the opportunity to play.

Notthingham Forest manager, Steve Cooper said:

"He's hungry for more opportunities to play,"

"He's played multiple times in the Premier League but has also experienced the Champions League and international football.

"Again, Dean is someone who has attracted a lot of interest from other clubs and we're delighted that he has chosen Nottingham Forest for our return to the Premier League."

There is no permanent purchase clause in Henderson's loan deal and Forest will pay his full salary for the entire next season.
