Nottingham Forest planning Djed Spence bid as Spurs, Arsenal lurk
Nottingham Forest wants Djed Spence to stay away from Tottenham, Arsenal, and Brentford, so they plan to make a bid for him.
While on loan from
Middlesbroughfor a season, the right-back played a big role in Forest's bid to get into the
Premier League
.
Bayern Munichwas also keeping an eye on him there, and Spurs and
Brentford
are said to have asked about him recently.
But after Forest beat
Huddersfieldin the play-off final on Sunday, they think they have a better chance of being his next permanent home.
After the game, Spence seemed to make a comment about former Boro manager
Neil Warnock
, who was in charge when the 21-year-old was allowed to join Forest last summer. He tagged Warnock's new Twitter handle along with a picture of him celebrating in the locker room at Wembley.
Boro have preferred Isaiah Jones, who is more of a wing-back, over Spence this season. They are happy with how Jones fits into current manager Chris Wilder's system, so Spence will almost certainly leave the Riverside for good this summer, even though he still has two years left on his contract there.
