Simeone frustrated as Felix is out for the rest of the season
The Atletico Madrid boss thinks that the casualties were happening at a “bad time” since Joao Felix is out of action for the remainder of season due to a hamstring injury.

Atletico Madrid’s problems regarding injury setbacks before their battle against
Granadaon Wednesday since Joao Felix has sustained a hamstring injury as it out of action for the rest of the season.
Atletico’s hopes of finishing in the top-four in the
La Ligatable was dealt a blow on Monday with the player’s injury announcement.
The 22-year-old has met the target eight times in 24 league games but was in the starting XI only 13 times this season, which was his best return since joining in 2019.
The Portuguese forward was sent out injured during his side’s 2-1 victory over Espanyol and is now unable to increase his tally of 10 goals and five assists this season.
Simeone is frustrated with the bad timing of the injury since his team is pushing for a top-four finish.
"
We have lost them [Joao Felix and Lemar], and [Hector] Herrera and Jose [Gimenez] are waiting to join the group, we hope they do so after this match,"
Simeone told his pre-match press conference.
"We lost Joao, who was in a great moment, with games, playing in continuity, [it was going] very well for his growth and play, [and] Lemar always gives us something different, in that defence to attack transition.
"It's a shame. They are injuries that come to us at a bad time, but I have other boys waiting to play and everyone is up to the task of continuing to compete as we have been lately."
The Portugal international is the third-youngest Atletico player to have featured in 50 games for the club at the age of 20 years and 120 days, following Sergio Aguero (19 years and 162 days) and Fernando Torres (19 years and 310 days).
The forward promised to return “stronger” when he confirmed his injury news on social media.
"Unfortunately, the news is not what I expected, and it is with deep sadness that I find myself unable to help my team in what remains to be played this season," the 22-year-old said in an Instagram post on Monday.
"Now I can only support Atleti from the outside, and work hard on my recovery to come back stronger."
Atletico are sitting fourth in La Liga table, only three points above Real Betis before the game against Granada.
