Guardiola on Atletico Madrid's behavior: I have nothing to say!

Guardiola refused to condemn Atletico Madrid’s dark arts as the LaLiga side lost control in the dying stages of the goalless draw with Manchester City.

After a hard-fought draw in the Spanish capital,

Manchester City

survived a bruising battle with the

LaLiga

champions to reach the

Champions League semi-finals

.

Pep Guardiola

's team had to contend with a tense atmosphere and a fervent home crowd. They did, however, get through a difficult quarter-final at the Wanda Metropolitano thanks to a 1-0 first-leg triumph last week.

As a result of Felipe's dismissal, Atletico finished with ten men. The Atletico man avoided a booking for a nasty challenge on Phil Foden in the first half. Late on, however, he was sent out for kicking out at Foden after tackling the City player.

Ilkay Gundogan

, came close to scoring in the first half when he hit the post, and he almost won it late on. On the other hand, the visitors had to dig deep in the second half.

"It is the champion of Spain, and they played with intensity, and in the second half, they were better than us, and we were lucky we didn't concede," Guardiola told

BT Sport

. We had chances in the first half, and we are now in the semi-finals, which is highly deserved. It's a tough opponent." All of the Champions League teams come here to suffer, so it's critical that we win."

"Nothing to say," Guardiola said when asked if Atletico Madrid's behavior was over the mark. "I don't know, I can't talk about what other people do," Phil Foden responded when asked about being targeted.
