Ansu Fati: Xavi has changed Barcelona's mindset

When Xavi Hernández was appointed as Barcelona head coach, the Catalans were ninth, six points off the fourth, and final Champions League spot. Now, they’re second, twelve points behind

Real Madrid

, with a game in hand.

"I’m really looking forward to it because the team has improved a lot,"

Fati told the press at the launch of his new book Solidarity Stories of Sport.

"The team is playing very well. I hope I can be with the team soon.”

"The change of coach has been very good for us, the players now have a different mindset of hard work and you can already see the results.”

The 19 year old Fati isn't worried about the competition for places within the current Barcelona squad.

“The truth is, we are Barcelona. The best team will always come here. I am calm, it depends on the coach, I can help the team,”

he said.

Fati also spoke about his injury and why he chose not to undergo surgery.

“It was a hard time but I had a calm mind because the club was with me. I am very grateful, they helped me at all times and I was very calm.”
