Salah breaks Fowler's Liverpool mark against Manchester City

Mohamed Salah has moved above Robbie Fowler into second place for the most goal involvements by a Liverpool player in the Premier League.

this evening saw the Egyptian etch his name even further into the club’s fabled history books.

Salah assisted Sadio Mane's goal early in the second half of the game against Manchester City to make.

That was Salah's 159th goal contribution for the Liverpool in the

Premier League

, moving him in front of Robbie Fowler and behind only Steven Gerrard.

Gerard with 212 goal involvements is at top of the list. Fowler with 158 goal involvements now is in third place. Michael Owen with 148 and Roberto Firmino with 116 are in fourth and fifth place.

Salah has scored 115 goals and 44 assists in 174 Premier League games. Fowler has 128 goals and 30 assists in 266 games.

The 29-year-old Salah also has 20 goals and 11 assists in this season's Premier League.

Manchester City and Liverpool battled it out in a thrilling draw at the Etihad. Klopp’s side came from behind twice to avoid defeat against the leaders. Pep Guardiola’s side now remains one point ahead of their title rivals.
