“Don't go, Declan – stay” - West Ham fan Brand

As one of the key players for both his club and country, the England star has been linked with a move away from the club; fans, however, want him to remain put.

Declan Rice

’s superfan

Russell Brand

has urged the player to reject offers of moves away from

West Ham

in the summer, with the comedian insisting that the midfielder can be a legend should he choose to stay.

After becoming a centrepiece for

David Moyes

’ side and contributing to the Euro 2020 final, the England player has been linked with an exit from London Stadium.

Chelsea

have been keen on signing with him, but the star has been urged to remain put by comedian Brand in a broadcast.

Alan Brazil about the message he has for the midfielder, Brand launched into his plea, stating:

"Don't go, Declan - stay! Be the Trevor Brooking of our time. Don't go the route of everyone!

"Stay with the heart, become a hero. We love you Declan. I knew Chelsea was your first love and it is obvious they're going to come calling, but we love you more. You can everything to us.

"You've learned that the tutelage at the feet of Mark Noble, be his apprentice, be everything. Be Devonshire, McAvennie, Paolo Di Canio, all rolled into one! Stay Declan, we love you!"

Whether Brand’s comments would convince Rice to stay or not, West Ham are most likely going to fight for his services in the summer transfer window.

Having established himself as a cornerstone in Gareth Southgate’s Three Lions squad, other

Premier League

clubs aside from Chelsea will come knocking for his signature as well.

Moyes told that the club would not accept cheap offers, but should Rice have a release clause like Jack Grealish’s, it remains to be seen whether the Hammers can keep hold of the player.
