West Brom in advanced talks with Steve Bruce after Ismael’s dismissal

Steve Bruce has started negotiations with the Baggies over managerial position.

West Bromwich

announced earlier today that they have decided to relieve Valerien Ismael off of his as the club’s head coach after two consecutive Championship defeats against

Millwall

and

Preston

.

A club statement reads:

"West Bromwich Albion Football Club can confirm Valerien Ismael has today left his position as head coach.

"Assistant head coach Adam Murray has also departed The Hawthorns.

"The club would like to place on record its thanks to Valerien and Adam for their efforts and wishes them well in the future.

"The process of recruiting a new head coach is now under way and an appointment will be announced in due course."

It appears that West Brom have already found their next head coach as they have started advanced negotiations with former Aston Villa and Birmingham boss, Steve Bruce.

The Englishman has previously led Birmingham and Hull to the Premier League promotion and the Baggies, who are eight points adrift of the promotion places, hope to pave their way up to the Championship table under the 61-year-old tactician.
