Fulham fan dies of a heart attack during the game against Blackpool

Paul Parish, a Fulham supporter, died after falling down during the 1-1 stalemate with Blackpool at Craven Cottage on Saturday.

During Saturday's

Championship

match against Blackpool, a Fulham fan died after having a heart attack in the stands at Craven Cottage. 

The fan, identified by the club as Paul Parish, was treated by both clubs' medical staff, with fans providing privacy with flags. 

The game was called off, and the players went back to their locker rooms before rejoining to play out a 1-1 tie. 

Fulham's official Twitter account issued the following statement later on Saturday:

"It is with immense sadness that we inform fans of the passing of supporter, Paul Parish.

"Paul suffered a cardiac arrest and received treatment in the stand at this afternoon's match before being transferred to hospital.

"Our condolences go out to Paul's loved ones."
