Ronaldo will leave Man Utd if they don't qualify for next season's UCL
Former Real Madrid and Juventus star is unhappy with the Red Devils' lack of ambitions.
According to
Diario AS, Cristiano Ronaldo would quit Manchester United if the club fails to qualify for the
Champions Leaguenext season. The Portuguese icon hopes to match and even surpass Paco Gento's record of six European Cup titles. He has five at the moment.
On the other hand, Cristiano is already 36, and he's running out of time, while his prominent competitor Lionel Messi is now on four, but he is at a team with a more substantial potential of winning the Champions League Paris Saint-Germain. The Argentinean is also still only 34 years old.
After leaving Juventus this summer, Cristiano returned to Old Trafford, but things haven't gone according to plan. They are now five points off the
Premier League's top four and are seventh in the league standings. Their near future does not appear promising.
Cristiano is the Champions League's all-time leading scorer, with 140 goals to his name, and has also netted more goals than anybody else in international football history, with 115 for the Portuguese national team.
