‘Inter’s debt crisis has steadily stabilized’ – Inter’s owners Suning

Inter’s owners Suning have confirmed that the club’s debt problems have been stabilized.

The Chinese owners of the Serie A defending champions ran into financial difficulties earlier this year, prompting the club to sell talents such as

Romelu Lukaku

and

Achraf Hakimi

to balance the books. Many fans were worried that the sales were simply the beginning of the club's financial collapse, but those concerns appear to have been averted.

The debt situation has now been resolved, according to a letter signed by

CEO Zhang Jindong

.<em>

'With the government's backing and assistance, as well as our ongoing efforts, the group's debt crisis has steadily stabilized, and Tesco's operations are also recuperating in an orderly manner.'

Despite the departures of

Antonio Conte

and the sales of

Romelu Lukaku

to

Chelsea

, and

Achraf Hakimi

to

Paris Saint-Germain

in the summer,

Inter

remain in a solid position in Serie A; the Nerazzurri are currently leading the Serie A standings after the first half of this season, four points ahead of

Milan

in second place.
