Yassin Chikhaoui ruled out of AFCON following ACL injury

The Tunisian star will not be able to accompany his team to the Africa Cup of Nations.

midfielder Yassin Chikhaoui missed the Africa Cup of Nations due to a ligament injury.

Chikhaoui was one of the players from the Tunisian team that reached the Arab Cup final with this team and lost the final match against Algeria. However, he did not play as well as he expected and could not make the impact he wanted on his team.

He played 11 minutes in the 5-0 win over

Mauritania

and was sidelined with an injury throughout the tournament. The Tunisian federation has announced that Captain of Etoile du Sahel will not be able to play in the

Africa Cup of Nations

due to a ruptured ACL.

He had high hopes that after losing the Arab Cup, he would be able to shine in the Africa Cup of Nations and get through the bitter days.
