De Vrij will be sidelined against Norway

Netherlands will be without Stefan De Vrij in their clash against Norway.

The

Netherlands

will face

Norway

in an important match on Tuesday in the World Cup qualifying games, and the bad news for their fans will be

Stefan De Vrij’s

absence due to an injury that he picked in their draw against Montenegro.

Inter’s high-profile defender picked a hamstring injury during his side’s surprising draw against Montenegro, and now he will be unavailable for his side’s decisive clash in their last match in the Qatar World Cup qualifying games on Tuesday.

Following De Vrij’s injury, Matthijs De Ligt will play in the center of Netherlands’ defense line alongside their captain Virgil Van Dijk and although De Ligt seems a promising option for any team, De Vrij’s absence can be a huge setback for

Louis van Gaal’s

men in a situation that they can miss the Qatar World Cup if they fail to gain at least one point against Norway in a game that they have the advantage of playing at home, although the game will be played without the supporters, because of the new lockdowns in the Netherlands, following the raise of Covid-19 cases in the country.

now, we have to wait and see what happens in their last game in the World  Cup qualifying games as Van Gaal refuses to call any players to replace De Vrij in his squad.
