Official: Juan Brown appointed as the new Ismaily head coach

The Argentine has reached an agreement with the Egyptian side to take charge as their new manager.

Having sacked Talaat Youssef at the beginning of the season,

Ismaily

have appointed a new head coach to turn things around at the Ismailia Stadium.

Argentine manager Juan Brown has been named the club’s new manager, with the length of his contract not disclosed.

Brown started his managerial career as an assistant at the Saudi club

Al-Hilal

before becoming their head coach. He was, however, sacked by the club after only nine games and moved to Al Wahda.

Brown’s stint at the Mecca side was also short-lived, with the Argentine getting sacked after only seven games in charge. The manager returned to assistantship and his country by accepting a job as the assistant manager of Argentina’s U20 national team. Brown resigned from the role a few days ago to start his new work at the Egyptian club.

The 44-year-old manager will face a challenging task to improve Ismaily. The Brazilians of Egypt have started the season with three defeats in their first three matches. They have scored only one goal while conceding seven, holding the league’s worst goal difference.

Brown will make his Egyptian Premier League debut against

Zamalek

on Friday.
