’s lack of regular game time at Emirates Stadium has raised speculations of a move away as the January window is looming, but his father revealed that the Brazilian is not moving anywhere.

, Martinelli’s father Joao said:

“Since he came back from an injury, he's been playing a lot less than he would have liked.

“There has been some talk of proposals from Europe, but Arsenal have already warned that they will not release him.

“People like him a lot. Not only for what he does when he plays, but also for his dedication. Martinelli is almost always the first to arrive for training and the last to leave.”

The 20-year-old struggled with a knee injury in 2020 and was out of action for six months. Upon his slow return, he suffered some other knocks.

However, he has been available this season and has yet to get the chances that his 10-goal debut season suggested he would enjoy.

He has only featured in eight matches this season, with 159 minutes played in the Premier League.
