Seedorf understand Franck Kessié’s desire to get more money but ...

Rossoneri legend Clarence Seedorf believes that Franck Kessié is a world-class player and can ask for more money, but at the same time he is not a star for Milan to take them to the next stage of the Champions League or bring the Scudetto.

The ivory midfielder's contract expires next summer and the parties have not yet agreed to extend his contract. Milan are not interested in losing him for free like

Gianluigi Donnarumma

, and reports suggest that the club have offered the player an annual salary of 6.5 million euros, but Kessié has asked for at least 8 million a year.

He has the right to ask the money he wants, but the club can reject his proposal to keep their balance,

” the former Dutch midfielder told La Gazzetta dello Sport.

“I believe he should put his career at the first place and then obtain the best from an economic point of view. Kessié has done really well at Milan, but the Rossoneri sit rock bottom in their Champions League group and I don’t think he was decisive to win the Serie A title.”
