Arsenal plans to sign Real Madrid striker in January

The Serbian star is closer to the exit doors of Real Madrid than ever.

Arsenal

are set to sign Real Madrid striker Luka Jovic in January.

In 2019, Jovic left Eintracht Frankfurt for the Santiago Bernabeu for 60 million euros, but could not repeat his good performance in Spain. He returned to Frankfurt on loan in January this year, but returned to Real Madrid for the new season.

However, things did not go well for the Serbian striker and he did not get a chance with Karim Benzema's excellent performances. Jovic also suffered an injury, but even on the day Karim Benzema was rested, Mariano Diaz was chosen to replace him.

Thus, the Serbian star made sure that he would not have a place in Ancelotti's squad and that he would have to think about leaving Real Madrid in the winter transfer window. Reports suggest that Arsenal intend to go ahead with the purchase of the Serbian star. They want to borrow him in the winter and include a permanent purchase clause in his contract. It is said that Real Madrid is ready to accept offers of 25 million euros for him to get rid of his high salary.

Also, Real's long-term plan is to attract Kylian Mbappe in the coming summer, so it needs to earn money and reduce costs.
