after self-isolating himself following his coronavirus test. The France international did not play in the Blues’ last two matches before the international break, which was a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Juventus and a 3-1 victory over Southampton, after his positive test.

The 30-year-old was also not called up to be part of France’s squad for the Nations League, with France getting prepared for Spain’s Final on Sunday after vanquishing Belgium in the semi-final.

However, Kante, who played in six games this season, can now return to action for Chelsea after 10 days of being in isolation.

Some of the Blues’ players are on international duty, but Hakim Ziyech, Saul Niguez, Callum Hudson-Odoi, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Ross Barkley all appeared in full training. Thomas Tuchel’s men are sitting top of the Premier League after seven games.
