AFC Champions League quarter-final draw: Persepolis faces Al Hilal

Clubs that remained in the competition will look up to an open draw that was implemented with the participating clubs divided into two pots – West and East Regions – with the first and second balls drawn placed as Team A while the remaining balls will represent Team B.

Following a drama-filled Round of 16

, the remaining eight contenders will shift their attention to know their opponents in the next round in the drawing that takes place on September 17. 

The Quarter-finals and Semi-finals will be centralized and single-legged as the East Region matches will be played in the Korea Republic and the West Region matches and the all-important Final will be hosted in Saudi Arabia.

As reported by AFC, the West Region pot will comprise AFC Champions League 2019 winners Al Hilal from Saudi Arabia, who defeated Esteghlal FC 2-0 in their Round of 16 matches. Meanwhile, UAE’s Al Wahda FSCC will make their first appearance at this stage of the competition since 2007.

Al Wahda (UAE) – Al Nassr (KSA)

 

AFC Champions League quarter-final matches in Western region:

Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors (Kor) – Ulsan Hyundai (Kor)

FC Pohang Steelers (Kor) - Nagoya Grampus (JPN)
