Rayo Vallecano sign Radamel Falcao
The Colombia international departed Galatasaray this week and has chosen to move to La Liga.
have announced the arrival of
Radamel Falcao
. The Colombian striker terminated his contract with Galatasaray on mutual consent and left the club.
Speculations suggested that he would return to La Liga and now Rayo Vallecano have pronounced his signing today.
Vallecano, who earned promotion back to La Liga when they won the Segunda Division play-offs, confirmed the signing of the 35-year-old.
They have yet to reveal the length of the contract but according to the reports, it will be a one-season deal.
Vallecano have also confirmed the arrival of
Ivan Arboleda
, who hit free agency in July.
He had to deal with injury in Turkey and he only featured in 43 matches but met the back of the net 20 times.
He made three brief appearances, with two minutes during Colombia’s 1-1 draw with Bolivia in the World Cup qualifying game, which was his first match for his national team since October 2020.
The 35-year-old played for Atletico Madrid before moving to Monaco and was loaned to Chelsea and Manchester United before making a move to Galatasaray.
