Correa helps Inter win in his debut

The reigning champions had their striker

back after his suspension, and he was used alongside his new partner
Edin Dzeko
, but they were without players like

Christian Eriksen
.
The first goal was gifted to the home side by
Samir Handanovic
whose poor pass to
Marcelo Brozovic
was intercepted by Verona’s
Ivan Ilicic
who found the with a chip shot in the 15th minute of the game, so the Nerazzurri finished the first half as the defeated side, although they had put the ball in the net in the 39th minute which was not accepted because Martinez had committed a foul before that.
Only two minutes into the second halftime, the Argentinian striker leveled the game for inter with a header from Ivan Perisic’s long throw, which was flicked by Edin Dzeko.
The visitors had a penalty call that was ruled out by the VAR decision, and they got nothing out of it just for Correa to come in and replace Lautaro Martinez and change the game for the Nerazzurri.
Correa needed only nine minutes to score his first goal for Inter and gave his side the lead by that goal putting them ahead, but it didn’t seem enough as he found the net for the second time in the night in the 94th minute to show his determination and quality in his debut game for the reigning champions of the Serie A.
