Locatelli's transfer to Juve took a year and a half - Agent revealed
Manuel Locatelli’s representative insists the transfer to Juventus took "a year and a half, not two months" and that anyone who thinks Sassuolo has given him away has not read the contract properly.

The truth is, we’ve been working on this for a year-and-a-half, not two months,
” the agent told Tuttosport.
“Fabio Paratici already wanted Locatelli last season, then Federico Cherubini did well to finalise the move this summer. It was anything but simple, as Sassuolo and Giovanni Carnevali proved themselves to be very good sellers.”
Most of all, the terms of the transfer came as a surprise to everyone, as Locatelli will be on a free two-year loan to Juventus. Juventus will then have to pay €25 million plus an additional €12.5 million to
Sassuolo
if they want to make the deal permanent.
“Anyone who thinks Carnevali gave Manuel away to Juventus hasn’t read it properly. Completing a transfer of this magnitude, at almost €40m, during a dramatic economic moment for clubs all over the world, and in particular Italian football, was anything but easy.”
Locatelli
, who recently celebrated his Euro 2020 title, could have a much higher transfer fee and a higher salary.
He was close to Juventus last summer and was determined to make his dream come true this time, something Sassuolo had to accept.

“Manuel wanted Juventus at all costs, his adventure starts now. He was overjoyed when signing the contract, but also exhausted. It was a long wait.”
