Martin Odegaard’s move to Arsenal is almost complete

Martin Odegaard who has played for the Gunners on loan is close to joining them on a permanent deal.

Martin Odegaard

was never a regular starter in

Real Madrid’s

lineup and joined

Arsenal

with a loan deal to work with

Mikel Arteta

is so close to joining the Gunners with a permanent deal to follow his future in the Premier League.

The Norway international became an important part of the Spanish manager after his struggles for the playing time at Santiago Bernabeu in the first half of the 2020-21 season, and his performances over there have convinced the north London side to consider having him on a permanent deal. He has made two assists in his last two outings for the Gunners to show his importance to increase the creativity in the Gunners’ midfield position.

Added to the fans' interest in having the player after his loan spell, the head coach had also admitted to his interest in signing Odegaard on a permanent deal at the end of the last season.

“Well, we have a very clear and strong opinion on what we would like to do, but he’s not our player. We will have to discuss in the next few weeks what and respect first of all because he’s a Real Madrid player and have those communications.”

Despite the Gunners interest in having the player, Real Madrid seemed to be thinking about keeping the player for the next season, but the reports have been suggesting that the La Liga side is considering selling the Norwegian midfielder, and now the reports are suggesting that the negotiations between the clubs are in advanced stages over the player.
