West Ham beats Juventus for Fiorentina's Milenkovic signature

Milenkovic has reached the last year of his contract at Fiorentina. He signed a five-year deal with the Viola in 2017 and moved from FK Partizan in July 2017.

According to the Portuguese journalist

, Pedro Almeida

, the 24-year-old centre-back who previously was linked with a move to Juventus and Tottenham, is extremely close to completing a permanent move to West Ham as the Hammers have agreed a €17m fee with the Viola.

Although the player is yet to reach to a personal agreement with the Premier League side, a medical test has been scheduled for the Serbian.

Nikola Milenkovic

was born on October 8, 1997, in Belgrade, Serbia. Nikola Milenkovic is a graduate of the Partizan football club. The Serbia international is one of the most highly-rated prospects in European football. Strong and a near ever-present for Fiorentina, Milenkovic has rarely struggled with injuries, racking up over 7 thousand minutes on the pitch over the last two Serie A seasons. Right-footed, he predominantly plays as a right-sided center-back, but he’s adaptable and has been known to feature at right-back if necessary.

Milenkovic was also linked with the likes of Juventus, Sevilla, and Tottenham Hotspur, but

a poor Euro 2020 performance

left no firm offers on the table.

The Viola will reportedly try to bring Matija Nastasic back from Schalke 04 for a minimal fee as they will kick start their Serie A season in

a game against Roma on August 22
