La Masia welcomes female Barcelona players for the first time
Nine Barca Femení players have relocated to La Masia in order to implement their education with their football training.
Barcelona has made it possible for female players to practice at the club's training facility.
Nine youngsters from the club's junior system will move to
La Masia
to combine their academics and football.
Female athletes are being permitted to dwell in the Catalans' facilities for the first time.
The nine players who will live at the club's renowned institution are Lucia Corrales, Berta Doltra, Judit Pujols, Ona Baradad, Laura Coronado, Meritxell Font, Martina Fernandez, Claudia Riumallo, and Alba Cano.
A statement on the club's website announced that the latest development illustrates

, Barcelona's supervisor of female youth football, said:
"This is a historic moment, and another example of the team's commitment to women's sport.
"Since 2015, when the women's football team turned professional, we have made giant strides and this is another major drive forward for the section and La Masia."
Last season, Barcelona Femení won the women's
Primera Division
for the sixth time.
They finished 25 points ahead of Real Madrid in second place and won the
Champions League
for the first time by defeating Chelsea in the final under Lluis Cortes.
After two years in command, Cortes has stepped down, and his deputy Jonatan Giraldez has taken over as head manager.
On September 5, the Catalan side will kick off the new La Liga season at home, facing Granadilla.
The next week, they will face Real Betis.
