Tottenham in talks to sign Cristian Romero from Atalanta

, Tottenham have made an offer of around £34m for the versatile defender. However, the negotiations are ongoing as no fee has been agreed between the two clubs. Personal terms are yet to be agreed with the 23-year-old, with the Spurs willing to give Romero a five-year deal plus an option of a further year.
Romero has also attracted interest from
Manchester United
after his impressive performances at Copa America. However, the Spurs are leading the race to sign the center-back. The Argentine featured in 31 league matches for La Dea last season as they finished third in Serie A.
