Arsenal ready to make a bid for Martin Odegaard

The Gunners are prepared to sign Real Madrid midfielder on a permanent deal.

Arsenal

are reportedly keen to return

Real Madrid

attacking midfielder

Martin Odegaard

back to the Emirates Stadium.

Odegaard joined Arsenal on a loan deal from Real Madrid in January and soon became a key figure in Mikel Arteta’s squad.

Arsenal have been searching the market for Odegaard’s replacement since he confirmed his return to Real for the next season, however, sports journalist

Fabrizio Romano

has claimed that the Gunners are ready to sign the Norway international on a permanent deal should Real decide to part ways with the 22-year-old midfielder.

“Arsenal always had a clear position regarding Martin Odegaard,”

Romano said.

“He’s always been considered the main target as No 10 - also if ‘complicated’.

“But if Real Madrid decide to let Odegaard leave, Arsenal will be ready to make a proposal to sign Martin on a permanent deal.”
